Local Favorites and Involvement in the Asheville Community
As a small woman owned business, Clasique aims to give back to the Asheville community and be involved in supporting other local businesses, artists, community groups and events.
Clasique Acupuncture & Pilates Studio is a proud supporter of the Asheville Grown movement. This holiday season we are promoting the "Shift Your Shopping" movement encouraging spending locally. Visit Asheville Grown's blog or facebook page for further details or to get involved in the local community development. Shift Your Shopping - "Local Independent Businesses recycle more money back into the local economy and give greater support to a community's non-profit and civic needs. They are better positioned to respond to the special needs of the community and more tied to the community's future. By supporting Asheville Grown Businesses, you are promoting a dynamic living economy as a way of life."
Clasique is a proud alum and member of Mountain BizWorks. The Foundations course at Mountain BizWorks was remarkably helpful in writing a business plan, developing a marketing strategy, and outlining finances. Mountain BizWorks offers an array of educational and motivational courses to enhance small businesses in this area, and we are grateful for what we have gained through their services.
As part of our passion to instill a strong sense of body awareness and confidence in young girls, Clasique supports the local Girls on the Run chapter. Girls on the Run is a national organization focused on improving body image, exercise, and healthy living in young girls. "Educating and preparing girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living." – GOTR
Every spring and winter, the local Girls on the Run organization hosts a 5K running race. Clasique volunteers for the race day setup and as a running buddy. www.gotrwnc.org
Brooke Tyler is honored to be a local ambassador to lululemon athletica. Lululemon makes technical athletic wear for pilates, yoga, running, walking, and for wearing during pretty much any activity that involves playing and sweating. Beyond their awesome clothing, lululemon focuses on getting involved in the local community where they promote local businesses and teachers. All lululemon locations have strong ties to our local communities. They host in-store events ranging from self-defense to goal-setting workshops to complimentary pilates classes led by local community ambassadors. Check out their calendar for free classes taught by your favorite instructors from Clasique!

The Best Advice
'Do not burn yourself out. Be as I am – a reluctant enthusiast…a part time crusader, a half-hearted fanatic. Save the other half of yourselves and your lives for pleasure and adventure. It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it. While you can. While it is still there. So get out there and hunt and fish and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, encounter the grizz, climb the mountains, bag the peaks. Run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, that lovely, mysterious and awesome space. Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to the body, the body active and alive.'
- Edward Abbey (1927-1989), author of The Monkey Wrench Gang and Desert Solitaire
